December 1st 2018 marked PrimaryTec’s tenth birthday and was celebrated in-house with a lunchtime staff party.
Mike Corlyon, PrimaryTec’s sole remaining founder member, made a speech to thank the staff (both past and present) for all their hard work and commitment and enthused those present with his strong vision for the future of the company.
Deli sandwiches were consumed with gusto as Johnathon Martin took over control of the multimedia board to share some images of the past… including some amusingly photoshopped items, and video of young-looking team members.
A specially commissioned cake with the appropriate ten candles was brought out which led to a pleasingly loud rendition of “Happy Birthday to Us…” before Mike blew out the candles. After much debate between the technicians about the best way to cut a cake (!), it was eventually sliced up and quite frankly, didn’t last very long. It’s fair to say the office prefers cake to sandwiches.
Between mouthfuls of cake, Mike mused, “It’s been a great adventure getting to this point. There were five of us originally, but the others have moved on to pastures new.” He continued, “Now, with the recent investment and directors coming on board, we’re well placed to push on with our new PTCloud solution for schools. This is the most exciting time PrimaryTec has ever found itself in and we aim to make the most of it.”
As a ‘cherry’ on the cake, all members of staff were presented with a birthday card containing details of a special 10th Anniversary gift for each – a paid day’s holiday for their own birthday.
The next ten years for PrimaryTec promise to be as exciting as the last ten. Watch this space…
